Chapter 2: Teachers and Visions
It is now, a time of relative peace. The group of runaways from a distant planet has slowly flourished in the blackness they now call home. To the center of it all is the group of people they call the 'true' line of Sulivan. There they are the builders, the craftsmen, and the great arm of all the groups. Known by their strong physique and an even stronger sense of prideful righteousness. They continue to police the others in the 'Will' of Sulivan Simon. Their buildings are that of a mix of modern marvels such as skyscrapers and great buildings of military sorts. The center of this metropolis houses the great line of Sulivan. It is the tallest structure and this serves as two things. 1) You can see it from any distance. 2) This great building also stands as a reference point. For at it's highest point a single bright light points the way North.
Those who live outside are two other groups. This is the Morvilians, who run the power plants for the 'Will of Sulivan' near the lava rifts. The energy which they produce has caused physical hair loss and their pupils to fully dilate, even those who are even born have this condition. Despite this, they are quite a healthy group of individuals. This is just how one could tell one is Morvilian by these traits. They live mostly in what could be called slums. The During the 'War of Tears' this was the area where the Forsies called home till Sulivan Simon turned it into the shell of a place worth living in today. Who stayed was those few who the 'Will of Sulivan' decreed to run the power plants after the bombing in the war. They now live in fear and disgust of the new 'Flower of Peace' as the 'Will of Sulivan' has made an effort in making sure uprises, and the spread of a new Vision doesn't happen again.
To the north of Morvil lies the last of the groups. The Forsies. They keep their peace with the 'Will' (As I will be calling it from now on) in
the mountainous area. Their walls and buildings are more of art than structure. They claim that Visions told them what to build and how to. With talk spire like structures connected with bridges It houses the thinkers, the visionaries, and the teachers. They no longer are aloud to teach anything but that of the 'Will' and talk of Visions are forbidden. It has been well over three generations from the 'War of Tears' and like an old wound Forsies and the 'Will' have healed but still remembers and some still don't trust them. For as time goes by the visions grew stronger.
Then one day an event started that will change everything that not anything man will have control over.
'The air was Full of Gas' a middle age Morvilian said in a Forsies classroom.
'and We Brought the Clean Air' said the children in unison.
'The Wind was Sharp'
'and We Brought the Gentle Breeze'
'The Ground was Hard'
'and We Brought the Soft Sand'
'Our World was Dark'
'and We Brought it Light'
'This is the words of Sulivan Simon children' The teacher named Carno said. 'It is very wise you remember them. That is all for now children'
he looked to what you might call an hour glass. One by one they left till only him and one child was in the room.
'What's wrong, I though all little children like to leave to play.' Carno said with an laugh. She didn't laugh, but spoke.
'teacher, how did we get such things?'
'You need to be more specific, what do you mean?'
The child looked puzzled and took a moment the spoke 'The clean air, gentle breeze, all that. Where did it all come from?'
Carno smiled and took time to answer just like she did. 'From visions my dear, Visions and something more special' She smiled but he continued in a whisper
'Keep it in your heart, for your vision one day might be the greatest of all' and with that she gave him a hug and went off.
'That was sweet Carno' said a young womanly voice on the other side of the door. It was Sindle, one of the Elders of Forsies daughters. She was fair skin and fair face. With long blond hair. Without a hint of deceitfulness in her blue eyes.
'Your not going to tell anyone are you?' Carno said with a bit of playful sarcasm in his voice.
'No, I need to speak with you.' Sindle said seriously.
'It's a Vision isn't it?' Carno said under his breath. Sindle just nodded. Carno closed the door and they both walked to the back of the classroom.
'What is it you saw?',
'I'm not going to go over everything, what I saw was to painful to remember.' she started to fight back tears.
'I saw you going to Morvil and getting something.' she paused to regain her composure. 'It was a book of some sorts and as I followed you down a hallway I touch the sides and I left bloody hand prints as I went.' By this time Carno put his hand on her shoulder.
'There was someone there, in black armor. Eyes red on black. He was talking to me, I couldn't hear him. Then he said "In Dreams" and the world all around me started to fall apart.' Sindle started to sob openly now. Tears streaming down her face.
'I saw a blinding light that didn't hurt to look at. I was in the darkness above our planet, and the light exploded! The Heat and Waves Burst threw ME and My Flesh Melted AWAY and, And,'
'Stop!' Carno said to Sindle, 'It's okay' He tried to comfort her the only way he knew how. 'This Vision was given to your head. What does your heart say?'
'You will find our destruction in Morvil. If you find this item or Whatever it is you are doing.'
Sindle shook her head and apologized. She then looked him in the eyes 'Are you going to Movil Carno?'
'Yes, your father has a task for me and Ronal to do. Your Vision is right about that.' She was about to speak when he interrupted her.
'but you cannot come. Your father didn't want you to go.',
'Don't go.' Sindle begged him and Carno just walked up to the front of the classroom and opened the door.
'I will take it to heart. This Vision of yours' He said looking at her with a smile on his face. 'You have my word'
Sindle relieved smiled back and gave him a paper, 'Here, it's all of it. My dream. No need to take it to heart, take it with you.' and she left.
Carno looked at the paper and saw pictures and eratic writings. Something caught his eye, under the words 'In Dreams' sent a dread to his heart.
'No, this can't be' he looked at the drawing of a blackened armored person with red eyes and below it said 'The Prince of Death'
